Seillans is one of the 6-hilltop villages comprising the pays de fayence. Fayence, tourrettes, callian, montauroux and mons are all within easy reach – further afield are the equally picturesque villages of bargemon, clavier, callas, st paul-en-foret and bagnols-en-foret. The sea is about ½ hour away which allows quick visits to the beaches between cannes and st raphael and, at the end of your day, you can return to seillans leaving the crowds behind. Nice, cannes, st tropez, monaco and aix-en provence, are all within easy reach for a day trip. The grand canyon de verdon is europe’s answer to the grand canyon in america, although it is a round trip of some 130 miles the views and villages mean you’ll want to spend a day doing this. Restaurants and shops are within 2 miles and larger super markets within 5 miles for those who want to stock up on some provencal groceries before they leave.
